  1. We used to use grocery bags as trash bags all the time. Though I’m not sure that’s “green” since grocery bags aren’t biodegradable. Nevertheless, our county now has a 5 cent tax for plastic bags – grocery and retail – so our family now uses reusable bags! It’s actually great since we try to be environmentally-friendly. I also find reusable bags sturdier than plastic, so I can fit more and carry more in a single trip. And I definitely am doing my share of donating now that I’m de-cluttering the house.
