Continuing with the green series, today’s tips are on recycling. There are so many ways that you can participate in recycling, from putting items in your recycle bin, repurposing items, or purchasing recycled products.
Check with your local government regarding their recycling guidelines.

We used to use grocery bags as trash bags all the time. Though I’m not sure that’s “green” since grocery bags aren’t biodegradable. Nevertheless, our county now has a 5 cent tax for plastic bags – grocery and retail – so our family now uses reusable bags! It’s actually great since we try to be environmentally-friendly. I also find reusable bags sturdier than plastic, so I can fit more and carry more in a single trip. And I definitely am doing my share of donating now that I’m de-cluttering the house.
