Our refrigerator is too small for our needs. I don’t know what I was thinking when I bought this thing. We sold our other house really quickly and it was a whirlwind of finding a new house, packing, and planning for the Nascar race on Memorial weekend which brought a house full of people from up North. And guess what…our closing was scheduled for the Friday of Memorial weekend. Needless to say, it was the most stressful time of my life and how I escaped having a nervous breakdown, I’ll never know.
So when it came time to purchase a new refrigerator, I was all “just get the same one we have now only in black.” By the way, black is the worst color to get for appliances, but the other appliances were black so that’s what we went with. Black shows every speck of dust and water spot and makes your kitchen look dirty.
With the addition of two kids, the refrigerator is really cramped. Every day I’d open it up and say “I hate this refrigerator; I can’t fit anything in here!” Plus you could never find anything. Yogurt cups are shoved to the back, the half full bottle of salsa can’t be seen behind the giant jar of pickles hubby brought home, and the condiments were falling all over the place and everyone was just shoving them anywhere they could find space.
So, while browsing Wal-mart for some type of solution to my problem, I find these cute little bins with handles. How perfect! I filled the bins with jars, yogurt and condiments and while I still don’t have the space I need, at least you can easily find everything. I wish I had a before picture but forgot to take one.
The condiments are in a little plastic bin I had laying around. (as you can see, we use our ketchup to the very last drop – no waste here!)
With a new bigger refrigerator not in the budget at this time, I have to make do with what I have. So far this is working okay, not great, but it’s a lot better than what it was. Does anyone have suggestions for keeping your refrigerator organized?

Great use of the bins! Love that everything’s categorized and probably easier for the kids to access and also help keep it organized
. We don’t keep our fridge organized

Condiments are sometimes added prior to serving, for example a sandwich made with ketchup or mustard. Some condiments are used during cooking to add flavor or texture to the food; barbecue sauce, teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, marmite are examples..;
